Movie rentals in the Northern Neck

After Movietime left Burgess, it was hard to find a place to rent a DVD on a Friday night at a moments notice.  Although my wife and I stream movies from the internet, we have found that a newer release is an enjoyable break from the usual from time to time.  Now, there seem to be many options available for those wishing to rent a movie on a moments notice and it seems more will soon follow.

Currently, there are box movie machines at the Walmart and Walgreens in Kilmarnock and the buoy is now offering Roxi Movies from machines at their locations.  Burgess is already running and I’ve heard they have plans for the buoys in White Stone, Callao, Saluda, and Heathsville in the near future.  Eventually they plan to place the machines all over the Northern Neck which will be a great option for those of us seeking new releases without traveling all the way to York County or Tappahanock for a theater.  These machines offer low cost rentals, and they are located conveniently on major roads so dropping movies off while you’re headed to or from work is easy.  If you are interested in having one at a store near you, be sure and let the manager know.  They are seeking out the most popular and convenient places and customer input is always the best indication.
